Beach hotels in Cornwall and Devon that are brilliant with toddlers
Sand on the doorstep, a pool for when it rains (it will) and somewhere to dry the wellies. Six seaside hotels in the South West that make holidays with two to four year olds feel easy.
Toddlers want three things from a holiday: a bucket, a spade and somewhere to run. Parents want a short walk to the beach, an early tea and ideally an hour to themselves. These hotels tick both lists, and all of them are right by the sand or a short stroll away.

Watergate Bay Hotel
Best for: a beach-on-the-doorstep holiday
Sitting right on a two-mile stretch of sand near Newquay, Watergate Bay is a firm favourite with families. Kids' Zone sessions are included in your stay, with "Snuggle and play" for 6 months to 2 years and Playtime Pals for 3 to 8s, plus term-time Toddler Yoga and Sing and Sign. There's a 25m ocean-view pool with a shallow section, high chairs in every restaurant and camera baby monitoring that works even in The Beach Hut.
Good to know: sessions are released a month ahead and the popular ones go fast. Baby monitoring doesn't reach the Village apartments.

2Mawgan Porth, CornwallPhoto: Bedruthan Hotel & Spa
Bedruthan Hotel & Spa
Best for: under-5s who love a class
A clifftop family hotel above Mawgan Porth, with the beach a short stroll down a sandy path. It's packed with things for little ones: a Play Space Crèche for under-5s, Baby Sensory, Messy Play, Jungle Tumble soft play, indoor and outdoor pools and a kids' afternoon tea from 2pm.
Good to know: the crèche is charged per session and the outdoor pools close in winter.

3Fistral Beach, NewquayPhoto: The Headland Hotel
The Headland Hotel
Best for: water babies, whatever the weather
This grand Victorian hotel stands above Fistral Beach, a few minutes' walk from the sand. Its AquaClub has a dedicated Splash Pool built for children, with family hours from 9am to 7pm, so a grey day doesn't ruin anything. There are family suites with a separate kids' bedroom, interconnecting rooms and self-catering cottages if you'd like your own front door.
Good to know: under-12s can't use the hydrotherapy pools, and cots aren't mentioned online, so request one when you book.

4St Ives, CornwallPhoto: Carbis Bay Hotel
Carbis Bay Hotel
Best for: toddlers who want the beach outside the door
The hotel has its own Blue Flag sandy beach in the bay next to St Ives, so the walk to the sea is about thirty seconds. There's a Kids' Club with beach games, crafts and film nights led by a paediatric first aid-trained team, plus high chairs and children's menus in the restaurants and one-to-one babysitting.
Good to know: Kids' Club ages and times aren't published, so check it suits a 2 to 4 year old before you book.

Saunton Sands Hotel
Best for: a classic big beach hotel
A North Devon icon looking straight over three miles of golden sand, with direct beach access. There's a supervised playroom with a free childcare session each day, indoor and outdoor pools, family rooms and, in the school holidays, free surf lessons and activities for kids.

6Thurlestone, South DevonPhoto: Thurlestone Hotel
Thurlestone Hotel
Best for: a traditional family hotel with early suppers
Family-run and full of character, Thurlestone sits a stroll from sandy South Devon beaches. Under-5s stay free when sharing, cots and cot linen are provided, and in the school holidays there's a children's supper from 5pm before family dining. Playrooms, a games room and indoor and outdoor pools keep everyone busy.
Good to know: there's no supervised club for 2 to 4s, so this is a "together" holiday rather than a drop-off one.
Visit ThurlestonePacking for a toddler beach break
- A pop-up sun tent or windbreak. British beaches are breezy, even in August.
- A full change of clothes in a dry bag. They will sit in the sea fully dressed. Probably twice.
- Swim nappies and a UV suit. High-factor sun cream, a hat and shade in the middle of the day, even when it's cloudy.
- Know the lifeguard flags. Swim between the red and yellow flags and keep little ones within arm's reach in the water.

If you’re trying to conceive (TTC), you probably know that there are certain foods and nutrients that become especially important once you’re pregnant. But nutrition plays a vital role even when trying to conceive, much like laying a strong foundation before constructing a house.
Certain nutrients create that foundation by supporting egg and sperm health (yes, nutrition matters for both partners), hormone balance and creating a hospitable environment for a fertilized egg to implant. In fact, studies show that certain nutrients can help increase fertility and improve success rates for both natural conception and fertility treatments.
In other words, nutrition is a key player in the TTC journey, but getting the right nutrients in the right quantities can be tricky. That’s where supplements come in. Just as you’d take a multivitamin to fill in nutritional gaps for optimal health, fertility supplements can give you that extra nutrient boost.
