Zello's own guidance is to keep the device out of the cot and away from your baby's head, and to keep the volume moderate: they suggest around 65dB with the machine positioned roughly 50cm away. On the pram or car seat, place it so it isn't right beside your baby's head.

The basics of safer sleep apply wherever you are. The Lullaby Trust advises placing your baby on their back on a firm, flat mattress with the space kept clear, and moving them to a firm, flat surface if they fall asleep in something inclined.
