Angelcare Donates Movement Monitors, Reassuring Families and Promoting Safer Sleep

Baby Loss Awareness Week is October 9th-15th 2025. For many parents who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby, welcoming another child brings both joy and anxiety. However, bedtime is often the moment when emotions such as fear and worry can feel at their peak.

To provide support and reassurance,  trusted parenting brand Angelcare has partnered with The  Lullaby Trust,  the UK’s leading baby and sleep charity. The aim of this alliance is to help create a supportive community and give advice and crucial care that’s needed for bereaved families, while promoting safer sleep practices for infants.

As part of this partnership,  Angelcare is donating 250 AC25-1 Baby Movement Monitors to families enrolled in The Lullaby Trust’s Care of Next Infant (CONI) programme.

The CONI programme provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families before and after the arrival of their new baby, offering them a framework of care at a deeply sensitive time. The donation of Angelcare’s advanced monitors forms a vital part of this journey, giving parents the tools to feel more confident at bedtime.

This marks a major moment for parents seeking extra reassurance, as Angelcare’s technology is offered in  partnership with one of the most trusted voices in infant sleep safety.

“At Angelcare, we are deeply honoured to partner with The Lullaby Trust in their vital mission to support bereaved families and promote safer sleep for babies. This collaboration is a privilege, allowing us to provide reassurance to families who have lost a child,  when they welcome their new baby and make a meaningful impact in their lives.  With the Medically Certified AC25-1 Baby Movement Monitor, we are committed  to helping to ensure every bereaved family has the support they need during such a worrying time.” Rahul Sharda, CEO of Angelcare.

Unlike traditional baby monitors,  the Angelcare AC25-1 Movement Monitor combines video, sound and movement detection technology. It supervises baby by using a unique,  high-technology wireless ‘Movement Sensor Pad’. Simply place the wireless pad under the mattress and this unobtrusive, contact-free sensor pad will identify every movement from each corner of the mattress, while baby sleeps freely and naturally. It will only alarm if no movements have been detected for 20-seconds. This powerful combination of features offers families peace of mind, reassurance, and a safer sleep environment for their little one. And because the sensor pad sits entirely beneath the mattress, it supports The  Lullaby Trust’s clear cot policy - ensuring there are no loose wires or objects in the sleep space, helping to keep it as safe as possible.

Additionally, the Baby Movement  Monitor with Video & Sound gives parents access to medically certified infant movement monitoring technology, at home. This means that it has been approved by The MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare  products Regulatory Agency).

The Lullaby Trust recommends that babies sleep in the same room as their parents for the first six months,  however, the AC25-1 monitor can offer peace of mind if parents need to briefly step out of the room. Parents can keep an eye on their baby using the portable Parent Unit, which features a large 4.3” LCD screen, infrared night vision, room temperature display, and easy push-button operation. The unit does not require a Wi-Fi connection, ensuring secure and reliable monitoring at all times.

Through the partnership with The Lullaby Trust and the involvement in the CONI programme, Angelcare is proud to support families during Baby Loss Awareness Week and beyond, highlighting the importance of both emotional care and safe sleep practices.

As babies grow older, the monitor can be used to support longer periods of independent rest, with features like two-way audio talkback, allowing parents to gently reassure their little one from another room.

Did you know…?

Angelcare’s first movement monitor was introduced over 25 years ago. Taking inspiration from that innovative invention, the new Nursery Unit features this reassuring and iconic ‘Angel’ design, with a new modern look. Easy to install on a wall or tabletop, it includes a handy nightlight and has the option to play four soothing lullaby sounds.

About The Lullaby  Trust:

The Lullaby Trust is a charity that exists to keep babies safe and keep grieving families supported. They give families a safer start to life, empower professionals with evidence-based advice and create a supportive space for anyone whose baby or infant has died suddenly or unexpectedly. Since 1991 they have saved the lives of over 30,000 babies.

With  more and more parents choosing to use a baby monitor every year, The Lullaby Trust recently  published a monitor factsheet which has lots of useful information for parents and emphasises the need to continue following safer sleep advice. The trust has advised that while there is no conclusive evidence that using a monitor can prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) some parents find using a baby monitor incredibly reassuring during overnight sleeps.

If you’re trying to conceive (TTC), you probably know that there are certain foods and nutrients that become especially important once you’re pregnant. But nutrition plays a vital role even when trying to conceive, much like laying a strong foundation before constructing a house.

Certain nutrients create that foundation by supporting egg and sperm health (yes, nutrition matters for both partners), hormone balance and creating a hospitable environment for a fertilized egg to implant. In fact, studies show that certain nutrients can help increase fertility and improve success rates for both natural conception and fertility treatments.

In other words, nutrition is a key player in the TTC journey, but getting the right nutrients in the right quantities can be tricky. That’s where supplements come in. Just as you’d take a multivitamin to fill in nutritional gaps for optimal health, fertility supplements can give you that extra nutrient boost.
