The Nest Club: online therapy for the bit of parenthood nobody preps you for
Nobody hands you a leaflet on what a baby does to a relationship. The Nest Club, a psychotherapist-founded online practice, wants talking to a therapist to feel as ordinary as booking a haircut, for mums, dads, couples and every shape of family.

There is a lot of prep for the birth. Classes, bags, birth plans, a car seat you practised fitting in the drive. There is noticeably less prep for what comes after: the identity wobble, the 3am bickering over whose turn it is, the strange loneliness of being with someone all day and barely talking. As The Nest Club puts it, a new baby can leave two people living in the same house feeling alone.
The Nest Club is an online psychotherapy and counselling practice built around exactly those moments: fertility, pregnancy, parenthood, relationships and all the transitions in between. Its big idea is that therapy should be part of how families get through change, not something saved for when everything has fallen apart.
What it is
Founded in 2018 by Meera Moore Danowski, a UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist and COSRT couples therapist, The Nest Club offers individual, couples and family counselling, plus therapeutic coaching. Sessions are online, seven days a week, with evening and weekend slots. There is no GP referral or waiting list, and the service says sessions can be booked in as little as 48 hours.
It is not a directory you scroll through on your own at midnight. The Nest Club says every therapist is handpicked, appropriately qualified and registered with the relevant accrediting bodies, and each client is personally matched with a therapist based on what they want to work through. The practice is also an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Why it caught our eye
Couples come first. Plenty of support for new parents focuses on mum alone. The Nest Club puts couples therapy at the heart of what it does, giving partners a space to work through the changes together, ideally long before anyone reaches breaking point.
Every kind of family. The service is deliberately inclusive, supporting single parents, dads, surrogates, LGBTQ+ couples, couples going through IVF, step-parents and blended families. There is no single model of family here, which feels refreshingly honest.
It fits around a baby. Online sessions mean no travel, no babysitter and no pretending you have brushed your hair. There is also a free 10-minute introductory call, so you can get a feel for it before committing to anything.
"Imagine a world where talking about going to couples therapy is as normal as saying you're going to the gym." Meera Moore Danowski, founder, The Nest Club

Explore therapeutic coachingFree NHS support is there too
Private therapy will not suit every family or every budget, and it does not have to. The NHS says you can refer yourself to NHS talking therapies for problems such as anxiety and depression without speaking to a GP. It is free, for adults registered with a GP, and the options can include couples therapy.
It also helps to know what is common. The NHS explains that feeling down, anxious or irritable for a few days after the birth, the baby blues, is very common and usually passes within 2 weeks. If low mood carries on, speak to your GP, midwife or health visitor. Fathers and partners can be affected too. Our guide to postnatal depression and when to get help has more.
And if the tension at home is mostly about who remembered the nappies, our who-does-what audit for couples is a good, low-stakes place to start the conversation. For the bigger picture on support, read it takes a village, it just looks different now.

If you’re trying to conceive (TTC), you probably know that there are certain foods and nutrients that become especially important once you’re pregnant. But nutrition plays a vital role even when trying to conceive, much like laying a strong foundation before constructing a house.
Certain nutrients create that foundation by supporting egg and sperm health (yes, nutrition matters for both partners), hormone balance and creating a hospitable environment for a fertilized egg to implant. In fact, studies show that certain nutrients can help increase fertility and improve success rates for both natural conception and fertility treatments.
In other words, nutrition is a key player in the TTC journey, but getting the right nutrients in the right quantities can be tricky. That’s where supplements come in. Just as you’d take a multivitamin to fill in nutritional gaps for optimal health, fertility supplements can give you that extra nutrient boost.
