Keep the Room Cool
Aim for a nursery temperature of 16–20°C (61–68°F). Use a fan or AC to circulate air (not directly on baby), and keep blinds or curtains closed during the day to block out heat.
Dress for the Weather
On hot nights, a light cotton sleepsuit or just a nappy and short sleeve bodysuit may be enough. Use a breathable cotton sleep sack or no blanket at all. Avoid anything synthetic or too heavy.
Cool Down Before Bed
Give baby a lukewarm bath before bedtime to help lower their core temperature and soothe them into sleep. Avoid cold baths as they can be overstimulating.
Stay Hydrated
If you’re breastfeeding or bottle feeding, expect baby to want more frequent feeds in the heat, this is normal. Babies can’t regulate their temperature well, so hydration is key.
Adjust Your Routine If Needed
Longer daylight hours and warmer evenings can throw off sleep. Consider using blackout blinds and/or curtains, and calming wind down rituals like dim lighting and gentle lullabies to signal bedtime. The Shushiie® from The Cot and Cradle Company, is ideal for helping soothe your baby to sleep, with the ability to mix 3 calming sounds- white noise, Brahms lullaby and a gentle 'shush'.

"As a mum of two, I’ve seen how easily summer can disrupt a baby’s sleep routine. Longer days, lighter evenings and warmer nights can all make it harder for little ones to settle. In times like this, consistency is everything, and that’s exactly the role Shushiie® was designed to fill. It helps create a familiar, calming sleep environment even when everything else is shifting.” - Mimi , Founder of The Cot & Cradle Company.

If you’re trying to conceive (TTC), you probably know that there are certain foods and nutrients that become especially important once you’re pregnant. But nutrition plays a vital role even when trying to conceive, much like laying a strong foundation before constructing a house.
Certain nutrients create that foundation by supporting egg and sperm health (yes, nutrition matters for both partners), hormone balance and creating a hospitable environment for a fertilized egg to implant. In fact, studies show that certain nutrients can help increase fertility and improve success rates for both natural conception and fertility treatments.
In other words, nutrition is a key player in the TTC journey, but getting the right nutrients in the right quantities can be tricky. That’s where supplements come in. Just as you’d take a multivitamin to fill in nutritional gaps for optimal health, fertility supplements can give you that extra nutrient boost.
